Sweetlix 30-15 Low Moisture Block (200 lb Tub)

The Sweetlix 30-15 Low Moisture Tub is a high-potency, self-fed supplement formulated specifically for beef cattle consuming moderate to low-quality pastures or stored forages. By combining rumen degradable protein, bypass protein, and non-protein nitrogen (NPN), this 30% crude protein formula maximizes rumen microbial fermentation to unlock more energy from fibrous forage. Fortified with balanced vitamins and Bioplex® organic trace minerals, it delivers essential nutrition in a weather-resistant, labor-saving design.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Optimized Forage Digestion: Formulated with 30% protein (including 15% NPN) to stimulate rumen microflora and improve the breakdown of low-quality roughage.

  • Controlled Daily Intake: The hard, cooked low-moisture block ensures consistent, controlled intake averaging 0.75 lb per head daily (0.5 to 1.1 lb range).

  • All-Weather Durability: Highly weather-resistant formula will not dissolve, blow away, or spoil during rain, wind, or extreme heat.

  • Labor-Saving Efficiency: Delivers self-fed convenience; one 200 lb tub supplements 20 head for approximately 2 weeks without the need for feed bunks.

  • Enhanced Mineral Bioavailability: Fortified with Bioplex® chelated/organic trace minerals and essential vitamins (A, D-3, and E) for immune and metabolic support.

Feeding Directions & Guidelines

  • Herd Placement: Provide 1 block for every 15 to 30 head of cattle. Maintain a minimum of 10 feet between tubs to prevent crowding.

  • Intake Management: Place blocks 50–75 feet from loafing, feeding, and watering areas during the initial 7–10 day introductory period. Move blocks closer to increase intake or farther away to decrease intake.

  • Continuous Supply: Do not allow cattle to run out of supplement. When a tub is two-thirds consumed, place a new tub nearby.

  • Forage & Water: Always provide free access to adequate forage and clean, fresh water.

  • Caution: Do not allow starved animals free access to this block. Selenium consumption should not exceed 3 mg per head daily.

  • Warning: Contains added copper. Do not feed to sheep or any species with low tolerance to supplemental copper.
